Hours of Service

Hours of Service (HOS) will allow participants to: understand the law (Div 37 MVAR) relating to Nation Safety Code (NSC) HOS rules, ensure drivers do not violate the HOS rules and get mandatory rest time, and learn to keep accurate records providing a required paper trail showing compliance.

Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA)

The CVSA course concentrates on providing participants with the necessary skills to inspect their vehicles according to the CVSA Level 1 criteria used by licensed commercial vehicle inspectors and law enforcement.

Commercial Vehicle Incident Investigation Course (CVIIC)

CVIIC was developed specifically to assist private companies and organizations in analyzing the causes of motor vehicle collisions so that liability and/or financial responsibility can be determined. This critical analysis is part of a company’s incident management system. Incident management is the proactive process to a reactive event.

Commercial Vehicle Collision Reconstruction Course (CVCRC)

The course is focused on collisions regarding large (heavy) vehicles, but the foundation material and investigational techniques can be applied to any motor vehicle related incident. Actual case studies are “investigated” and analyzed throughout the course on both an individual and syndicate basis, to enhance the learning process.

Advanced Driving Techniques (ADT)

The Advanced Driving Techniques (ADT) program has been developed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the driver’s knowledge, skills and abilities, vehicles dynamics, and how the environment influences drivers. A key focus for all Advantage Fleet Services Inc. (AFSI) training programs is to demonstrate to drivers that the majority of driving risks is not necessarily knowledge-based, but rather is related to the driver’s attitudes, motivation, and risk perception to engage in high-risk behaviours.
