Grant Aune
President & CEO
Grant was an RCMP officer for 24 years, specializing as a Collision Reconstructionist, dealing with commercial vehicles. He has been declared an “expert” by the courts regarding motor vehicle collisions and the professional standards for commercial drivers. Grant is a motivating keynote speaker with a passion to improve the behaviour and skills of all drivers.
Ted Huene
Associate – BC Interior
Ted became an Associate with Advantage Fleet Services in 2002 with more than 50 years of experience in the commercial transportation industry. Ted’s extensive knowledge and experience has allowed him to develop an Equipment Operator Training program for a large municipality. Ted’s expertise throughout the transportation industry makes him a very valuable member of our team.
Terry Betts
Associate – Lower Mainland
Terry has been working with Advantage Fleet Services since 2007. Terry’s experience working for the RCMP as an operational police officer, tasked with traffic law enforcement and crash investigation, exposed him to the day to day situations that occur in that environment.
Jason Seeley
Associate – Western Canada
Jason joined AFSI in 2004 and his work expands across the three western provinces. He has over 20 years experience in the transportation industry as a professional driver, trainer, safety assistant, and is an accomplished keynote speaker for a wide variety of events.
Chris Gauvin
Associate – Southern Alberta
Chris joined advantage in 2008. He is a Collision Analyst/Reconstructionist and police officer, has testified in court as an expert witness and has taken professional courses/seminars all over North America. Chris brings with him a varied instructional background, organizational skills as a course facilitator and is a member of CATAIR and INCR.
Shaun Garvey
Associate – Western Canada
Co-founder of Advantage Fleet Services Inc., Shaun Garvey is a Risk Management, Insurance and OH&S Professional. He has over 30 years’ experience in the transportation (rail, truck, logistics), insurance, and waste industries as a risk manager, claims administrator, fleet manager, facility/operations manager, and customer service representative.
Jean-Yves Poirier
Associate – Eastern Canada
Jean-Yves has been working with AFSI since 2013. He is fluent in both English and French and has experience in labor relations. Jean-Yves has had some personal experience with vehicle incidents and has a passion for teaching young and old the key fundamentals to keep in control and safe when driving and operating equipment.
Melissa Currie
Chief Operating Officer
Melissa became the Executive Assistant with Advantage Fleet Services in 2009. She prepares content and materials for our associates to conduct their training and provide services, as well as running the “day-to-day” operations of the company. She is an amazing asset helping everyone to do their work through her organizational prowess and dedication to the company’s pursuits.
Wendy Aune
Communications Manager
Wendy is part of the AFSI management team. She facilitates internal training and works externally with clients regarding our attendance at conferences and other speaking engagements. Wendy is the liaison for the high school presentation “It’s Your Life to Live.” Wendy also manages our Eastern Canada Branch office.

Jason runs our domain services, manages and builds media, designs templates, creates documents, advises on technology, and provides IT support and training
